It is a true honor to be writing this to my home church, Emmanuel Baptist Church!  I know that we have been away for quite a few years, but Emmanuel will always be our home church wherever we are in the world!  One of the reasons why our family loves missions, people of other cultures, is because of Dad, Dr. Worley and Mr. Bill Magee.  They took the time to take me to Mexico and show me what missions is all about.  I have so many fond memories of what Dad talked to me about, flying with Dr. Worley, and Mr. Magee teaching me about verses in the Bible.  I will never forget those days!  I hope one day that I will be able to take Amy to Mexico to see where it all started for me.
For Amy and me, it is important that we do something that honors you, the people of Emmanuel Baptist Church.  You have always prayed for us and supported us in everything that we do.  That is why we want to start this new blog and call it “The Forerunner on Mission”.  I will always remember “The Forerunner!”   It was something I enjoyed reading.  So once a month, Amy and I want to share with you what is going on in our ministry so that you will be able to pray for us!
Since Dad passed away, it has really been difficult on me.  I want to apologize for not coming to the church that much since we have been home.  It has been very hard for me to do.  However, that does not mean that I do not care and love all of you.  Next week, I will put some prayer requests in “The Forerunner” so that you can pray specifically for our family, our work, and Brazil.  As Dad would say, “If you can do that for us, I’ll dance at your next wedding!”
We Love y’all and Blessings!
